    Isuzu Factory WTA IC

I saw a fantastically simple and well designed WTA on a new Isuzu NPR 300'Scitec' today.
I'll get the TNT driver to wait while I take pics next time, but it is a nice little barrel type IC mounted at the rear of the Rocker cover, the turbo is mounted highish, the outlet pipe goes straight into a flange mounting at one end of the IC, and the outlet straight into the inlet on the other side of the engine. It is worth noting the Scitec engine is reversed in its manifolding to the 4BD1, but what a neat idea! There would be room behind a 4BD1T in a Defender/ County if using a smaller diameter or remote mounted airfilter.

Food for thought, I'll get my camera at the ready for next time

Just googled these trucks and there is no mention of WTA, rather they all mention ATA. Maybe I am mistaken???? LOOKS like a WTC barrel type IC, Will have to get a proper gander if he'll stay still long enough!!

Could only see as I walked past the rear of the cab, drivers side.

    Anyone clarify?

Thanks Simon, looks like anything BUT an IC. Could be EGR related, but I'll still take a squiz next time the truck turns up, very intriguing

just had a look at the 4HK1-TC section of the Isuzu N-series workshop manual, and it appears that the part you're all discussing is the EGR cooler which is of the water cooling type
