    Fuel Tank question??

    G'day All,
I have just my 110 back on the road after a considerable time frame, anyway I was about to put the floor back in RHS and I noticed this little issue

the bracket that supports the fuel tank is cracked in 2 places that I can see, does anyone else have one of these tanks, it fits up under the RHS seatbox, I think the bracket is connected to the fuel tank in a manner similar to how the Series fuel tanks had the steel plate soldered to the base, this is not soldered but I don't fancy having to take the tank out, should I just clean it all up, pack up under the tank, get into position and weld it!! any thoughts cheers Dennis

Yep id just clean it up and pack it up into position and weld it in place tho make sure you have a stand by man with a fire extinguisher and hose ready to go prob best done out side also .

Then keep an eye on it and see how it goes if it cracks again which id say is likely maby a reinforcement should be made up and welded in place best of luck with it

or do it with an empty tank that youve had the exhaust of a small engine running into via a hose for about half an hour or so.
