I have bought a WTA intercooler from Frozenboost (identical lambrover's).
Long Flow Style Water to Air Intercooler
The next two essential items are a coolant pump and front mounted coolant radiator/heat exchange.
I am leaning toward a Bosch coolant pump model Part # 0 392 022 002 which sells in Australia for about $200. However any suggested alternatives would be appreciated.
I can buy a reasonable size alloy intercooler radiator from the US for around $260 delivered (eg CX Racing). However I like the idea of using a radiator from a small car that is commonly available in Australia. If the worst happens or when it wears out another can be easily sourced. I will have a filler along the coolant hose at a high point btw I/C and radiator so don't want one on the radiator. Any suggestions would also be appreciated.

From memory postage was $20-30 US. With exchange rate total price is more attractive now. Price from Frozenboost would be around $150 delivered.
I am a bit wary about buying electrical stuff from o/s. Frozenboost and CXracing seem pretty reliable.
An a/c condensor might be a good idea if its big enough. It would need a surface area equal to an intercooler radiator that is 300x300x50mm, which is about the smallest from CX & FB.

I think the biggest hassle with using a small car radiator (or a/c condensor) would be that the inlet and outlet pipes are all the wrong size/place to hook up to the I/C.
You could get the pipes changed, but that defeats the idea of trying to use something that is readily available off the shelf.
If you're still keen, have a look at the Suzuki Vitara radiators on ebay. Outlets are both on the same side. Around $150 delivered. Should be easy/cheap enough to get for another 10-15 years or so I reckon. From memory the hose diameters are quite small - around 25mm at a guess
You'd soon eat up a few $$$ stuffing around with matching up pipe diameters though. A matching radiator from the likes of Frozenboost would be MUCH simpler to work with.

Oil cooler radiator?
IRC John (Bush65 - where is he these days?) telling me he was going to use a falcon radiator as his IC rad, and a Davies Craig electric water pump. He was running an 8-core laminove IC and planning on about 500HP or so from the engine.
I have a 4-core laminova setup. I was planning on using a smaller Davies Craig Pump - e.g.: ELECTRIC BOOSTER PUMP 12V KIT - PART No: 9001 (though this may be too small - need to check the specs), and a radiator from a small car - e.g. 1L or so.

They come in all sorts of sizes.
Thinking about the heat you need to shed. A car engine radiator would be made to shed maybe double the power the engine puts out, with fluid coming out of the engine at about 90C.
At 20psi at 3,500rpm taking 60% of the heat out you'd need to shed about 22kw of heat, the air out of your intercooler will be about 80C, so water leaving your wta (assuming reverse flow) wouldn't be that far different to the engine coolant temps.
So in a nutshell, you won't need a third of a small car radiator, the bulk and space it takes up won't help. I'd look for a single pass oil cooler that will take up most of the area in front of the radiator. Funnily enough a modified AC condensor will look exactly the same as an oil cooler of that size.
