Ok, so this post is not specifically pertaining to the Isuzu engine however the vehicle in question does have an Isuzu fitted. Technically, that counts...right??
As most of you would probably agree, I consider the seating of a primitive tractor to be far more comfortable then middle row seats found in early model county! With consideration for passengers in mind, I'm thinking of replacing the existing mid row seats with those found in later model defenders as these are way more ergonomic.
Has anyone carried out this fitment or similar and if so, is there much involved and is certification required? What would be a reasonable costing for this work?

I was thinking along the same lines untill i sat in the back of the defender and found it to be worse than the county i think if the county rear seat was made better with more front to back width and better shape it would be a vast improvement also a higher back with a better shape would go a long way .
Seeing i will be needing to extend my cab to suite the needs i have planed for my county i will be fitting 3 bucket seats and have them removable so when traveling i can run as a 3 seat with room for the fridge in cab

To be pedantic they are not "defender" seats, as the seats changed in ~1989. As mentioned, the later seats have more shape to them (and are split folding), but are mounted further forward, higher, and I think at a steeper back angle.
Later type seats in the early/county position would be ideal.
