    starter question

Has the 4bdi 4 speed county got a starter relay or do I need to replace the starter key switch?
I am having trouble starting with the key works some times.
I have a servicing button wired up in the engine bay I use when adjusting valves. I have been using this to start it with for a week or so glad I wired up when i did.

yep theres upto 3 relays between the key and the starter

the starting relay which is typically behind the fuse panel
the aux relay which is usually mounted near the startermotor or on the startermotor
the starter solenoid, ok technically its part of the startermotor but it is still a relay.

Make that 2, if its Civilian, the extra relay is on the army jobbies with the different starter, the civilian ones don't have it

    hey, up to.. Up to....

it is occasionally fitted aftermarket on counties especially after its burnt out the second keybarrel switch with the same owner or its had an aftermarket antitheft unit fitted.
