    Thanks Guys

Ben , have been following yours and other Isuzu builds with interest.
They were main contrubutors to the List

I am a little mechanically challenged but learning and also doing a huge house reno including landscaping etc. . I felt it best to use my labor for doing that , which I am both comfortable with and capable of.

    So in Summary;
    1. Fit Defender brake booster.
    2. Laminate both axle housings.( Or replace both axle hosuings with something else? )
    3. Superpro Poly Bushes. Any particular spec or model? Seller?
    4. I have 3 sets of wheels to choose from to come up with two sets. 1 x AT set for daily drive and 1x spare set of muds. The 3 sets of wheels are; 5 x tubed Wolf Rims , 4x Great cond D1 rims I am loathe to rework and 4 x D1 rims that are offset but offset too much. May work those to Zero offset I think and use those as the wheels for muds/ harder off road as they are easier to change if necessary. Will have to confirm max legal and insurable offset for a County.
    5. What is with the shave the diffs thing?
    6. Can you order ARB lockers with 24 Spline or did I misunderstand that bit?
    7. Still deciding about the airbag thing. Someone mentioned variable rate coils the other day and a sway bar. Doesn't that limit donward wheel travel. I think i'd prefer the air bags option and have 2 settings , normal and a 2 inch lift for offroad ,but it looks like you had special plates and bracketry made up. Along with a need for paying an engineer that may rule that out.

    Thanks again

Don't suppose you're looking at selling yours anytime soon
Add to the list ; up the idel RPM and change engine mounts to cut down on vibration ( My mates 87 County Isuzu does not seem to ratle and vibrate as much as mine?)

Stock offset disco rims aren't a good idea. 20mm extra offset over std suits a 110 best - you should be able to swap your modded ones for standards
    5. What is with the shave the diffs thing? The bottom of the rear diff can be shaved (ground smooth) to increase clearance
    6. Can you order ARB lockers with 24 Spline or did I misunderstand that bit? Yes - I just got a cheap 10 spline one and converted it

Don't suppose you're looking at selling yours anytime soon Sorry - no chance!

Step 1 of many steps done this morning

Went and retrieved it out of storage where it has sat for the last 12 months , out in a paddock with a cover over it.

Charged the battery overnight but it may have had it !

Luckily it was on a bit of a hill so managed to roll start.

When it fired it I thought " Oh I remember you , you big lumpy, torquey beast " The 2.5 " exhaust and the fuel impulse through the snorkel sound great.

Coming up a very steep hill approaching a roundabout at the top nearby , where I had to change into 2nd in the Defender previuosly saw me just leaving the Suzy in 3rd and cruising through the roundabout. And that is without any gas in the diesel gas injection system.

Had a few big 8 legged hairy hitchikers come out and say hello on the way home too. Score is PG - 1 , Huntsmans - 2 ( gone into hiding)

Will have to look further into how much extra leg room you get with Mulgo seat rails( if he does them for Countys ) as we sat Deb ( with the bad back) in the passenger seat and she still feels like she may be short of leg room!

It's just that bit that sticks out to the left from the trans tunnel at the firewall that makes her sit with legs ever so slightly to one side that creates the problem we think.

Anyways , good to have it back home.

Problem now is how not to get distracted from the reno stuff I am meant to be doing . For example sitting on here when I should be out doing stuff

    Got to go !

    Diff Brazilians

I get a mental picture of Brazil being a country with just a thin strip of rain forest up the center
