Seems all ok, I took a punt, running out of time before Blinman.

I re dialed up the dif only the week before, same time I did the axles, bearings etc etc. Changed the oil, no metal in there.

Blinman and tagalong, so about 1200klm and all is good on the old axles.

supplier has come to the party, new axles arrived today but he wants the old ones back. Fair enough he has to sort stuff out with his supplier.

A batch of bad axles made it to tindal about 3 maybe four years ago now.. the running surface for the inner seal was a, to far out along the axle and was too wide..

the correct size slides in and out of the stub axles with no problems the incorrect size required dismantling of the stub to install. and then would bind if you pulled it outwards too far.

Well these ones slid in all ok, no nudging required. the only thing i noticed was that the spline was cut a bit shorter nut there was a bit of drift there.

and you can see that the running surface is all inside the stub
