    I haven't ordered the switch yet, as my switch is just sticking rather than total failure so am a little more leisurely about it...

    G'day All, Many thanks for the responses, I hope to have my 110 back in a few days. I will also have the Isuzu part number for the Oil pressure switch, 'Bob' who has put my engine back together found a Isuzu box with a U/S switch in it, off that box, he rang Isuzu parts in Newcastle yep we have that part here on the shelf, well maybe now it's in Dungog on my engine, I will post the part number when I get my 110, anyway cheers Dennis

    She runs, but it's not back at my place as yet, minor leak from water pump and still chasing tappet cover gasket

    if the seal in the water pump doesn't take I have told them to put a kit in it, anyway cheers Dennis

    I was going treat mine to a new rocker cover gasket, but after 2 rounds of wrong parts at my local Japanese truck place I gave up (first was my fault, second was theirs).

    If you come up with the correct part number let me know!

    Saga continues!!

    G'day All,
    Well some things have been sorted out, but now I'm told the engine isn't running as smoothly as it should. Compression in 3 cyls is stable at 400psi one cyl is up on compression by 10psi.
    Number 3cyl is where the problem is, if the injecyor line is cracked ever so slightly it runs as smooth as silk, tighten the nut back up in comes the rough idle again, now they have swapped the injectors around and it still does the same thing, all injectors have been overhauled and according to the diesel service they are spot on (and they ought to be at over $500.00 for the job), I have read in here in peoples opinion that nothing goes wrong with the injector pump, is it possible that ?? something in the pump is allowing more fuel to injector No3 (from the pump) are they adjustable ??, I don't want to take delivery of my 110 until this problem is sorted anyone got any clues?? cheers Dennis

    I do not have any specific information on this pump (never had any problems), but the symptoms certainly point to the pump - and yes, there is a separate pump for each cylinder, so it sounds as if this is the problem. I am not sure whether it is adjustable or will need new parts, but in any case it is, I understand, a specialist, 'off engine' job.

    The individual pump elements are calibrated seperately. The cover running from front to back on the side of the pump is there for access to do the adjustment - the camshaft drives the plungers and the tappets are adjusted so each plunger delivers the same volume (measured over 1000 strokes). This job is best done on a test bench.

    Below are pics of the pages to do with adjusting the pump. Note the pump is adjusted so that each element start injecting at the same time relative to their respective crank angle.

    The fuel flow rates are controlled and adjusted with the governor. During calibration of the governor on a test bench the delivery from each element is measured and checked.

    Some good news at long last!!!!!

    G'day All,
    Tonight I found out that my 110 has travelled approx 12k's out of Dungog to one of the mechanics home, he took it (with my OK) to check that the ??air leak it had, has been eliminated, I said it would appear so if it has travelled 12k's without stopping, methinks somebody might have bumped the shuttle valve switch ?? who knows all I care is that I will most likely be driving it tomorrow, any tips on how to run in a new diesel engine?? cheers Dennis
