    flywheel I.D

Whilst sorting out all my isuzu/lt95 bits out to put on fleabay, i noticed that the 2 flywheels i have are different. One has 4 sets of 3 bolts, the other has 3 sets of 3 bolts for the pressure plate, both flywheels are the same size.
    Anyone know which is what?

4 x 3 bolts will be the LR one, not sure about the other. Measure the crank cutout in the centre and see if they are different widths. The truck one has a smaller cutout for the larger plate.

I thought there was a bigger difference than that. I have a truck one in the container, I will try to find it tomorrow and compare. I know the ring gear is the same and I think the flywheel diameter is the same but the truck uses a larger diameter pressure plate so the bolt holes for the pressure plate are in a different position on the flywheel also the retaining bolts are larger. I am pretty sure the truck ones I have seen all have a 4 x 3 bolt pattern on a wider radius. But there are many variations for the different applications and I'm sure I haven't seen them all. I know there is one model Isuzu truck that uses the same flywheel/pressure plate as the LR.

the bolts on the 3x3 one are piddly little things like the landy ones. The 3x3 one also has a brand new pressure plate, but unfortunately no numbers on it, i suspect it is all off a truck as it has a truck flywheel housing and 2 bolt starter. Although this all fits in/on the the landy flywheel housing and bolts up to the lt95 aswell

There are two sizes for truck flywheels. Pre88 has a 275mm clutch disc with the clutch pressure plate held on by 4 groups of 3 M8 bolts. There are two opposed pins for location.

The later truck (88+) has a 300mm clutch, no idea what the bolt grouping is though.

Start by measuring the wear marks from the clutch disk.
