I=V divided by R ..... I=amps v= volts R= resistance.... test the ohms (R) of the plugs and then your set....i havnt used the glow plugs on mine for years (thinking they were working but they must have stopped working when the isuzu electrical system was made :D ) only time its been stopped was when it got that cold everything started to freeze from the snow when camped overnight :o I am placing mine on a toggle switch so I can use them when I feel the need keeping in mind I'm the only one that drives the car so if I forget to turn them off its my fault :angel:

Mine has the whole lot connected together on two relays. The main relay is energised by key-on, I haven't looked to see what purpose the second one serves.Quote:

There are aftermarket glow plug management relays/ timers available, a bit $$$ but are adjustable even for staged 'afterglow' and IMO well worth it if operating in very cold areas.

JC they're those funny pencil looking things that fill up the holes where you attach the compression gauge (or that you remove so you can turn the engine over easily by hand). for some reason they have a strap connecting all 4 together.
they make pretty good soldering irons once you get all the carbon off of them.
now THATS a great use for them Dave, about all they are good for in my engine, haven't been working / hooked up for the last 200K at least:DQuote:
