    My county g/box is buggered

    Well finaly got the county moving that i aquired only to find out that it jumps out of high range and that it has not reverse and hellof alot of bearing noise so my question can any one recomend a workshop that can overhaul my g/box or know of a very good s/hand one.

    4 speed or 5 speed?

    If 5 speed, get a working LT85 out of a V8 and swap the bell-housing over.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    And Diana's comment about about swapping the bellhousing on a LT85 applies just the same to the LT95 4-speed. You just need to take the bellhousing from your current box and fit to a rangie box.
    Swap over the speedo housing and handbrake assembly from your current box too as the rangie ones have a smaller drum.

    I have a spare LT95 from a V8 that I took out of an 85 County a year ago. It was running strong at the time. My County has a rebuilt box so I doubt I'll be needing the spare. PM me if you want to have a look - I'm on the northside of Brissie.
