This car has Volvo portals, and the track is truly amazing to watch.
The only issue to date is the steering box is starting to fail, due to the sheer stress on the track etc.
Eric aka (The 109)_ can shed some more details, i am sure.
It is a pleasure to see this rig out and about,. and a credit to the ability Eric has to build this mighty fine truck.

Put me in the spotlight why don't you dave
For those who don't know the truck a brief run down is:
1966 ex army GS 109
C303 axles
Factory 4BD1T and MSA5G
LT95 transfercase
Homemade PTO winch(Very slow)
Rangie suspension
The steering issues are from the massive wheel offset, still looking at ways to fix that. Reducing the wheel offset and widening the axles for stability would be my preffered option.
Other than that it's just been a case of sorting out the teething problems, much nicer to drive now after 15 months on the road.
Eric
Well worth while Eric.
Your machine is awsome![]()

May I ask what needed to be done to get the portals engineered ?
That - registered - is just pornography.Originally Posted by THE 109
