    Right clutch plate??

    Hi Guys,
Just went to fit a new Exedy clutch kit (#RVK-6868) to my Isuzu with the 5 speed, and found the clutch plate is wrong. Looks identical to the old one except the center splines are mounted further towards the spigot bush, so it hits here first before it makes contact with the flywheel. I have seen a 'Clutch-pro' plate that probably would have fit, but the cushioning springs were much beefier, and was warned not to use it with the 5 speed box.
Can anyone suggest another plate to use? Had planned to put the gearbox back in this weekend so am pretty keen to get it sorted out.
    Have attached some pics.
    Thanks,
    Adam.

I'm pretty sure when I replaced mine I used a clutch pro kit that used a Pressure plate that is an upgrade Nissan patrol one...it has not slipped yet and feels good flip the plate over see if it fits maybe it could be different design than std

They've sent you a non Isuzu plate, that is the direct V8 5 spd 110 replacement one. The Isuzu ones have the recess.
(Edit; just checked their website catalogue, it looks like they have packaged the wrong plate, OR they don't know there is a different centre boss on the friction plate for Diesels.)

Thanks Chief. If I end up having to get a clutch pro at least I now know it should be OK. Do dumb things a fair bit, but have put the plate on the right way this time.

Thanks Justin. The boys at Exedy are looking in to it now. Have passed on your information so hopefully they can sort it out.

Yep, it seems they threw in the V8 one as JC suspected. Exedy have sent another one (this one's in a 'Clutch Industries' box ??) so now have one that looks ok, will find out for sure tonight.
    Thanks for your comments fellas.

Good idea. Will do that. I must say though, they were very quick to sort out the problem and were easy to deal with. BTW, new one is in and it fits nicely!
