Thread: Changing 4-bolt PAS box. Lift engine?

    OK - finally managed it. Took about 30 minutes with the PAS box hanging off a block and tackle. (I had to remove the air horn motor the PO installed in a silly place, plus the (disco) reservoir and bracket).

    The new one dropped in in about 30 seconds!

    It would have been MUCH easier if the inner guard was out.

    Well done! I just dropped in to see how you went with this as had another look at mine today incase any ideas popped up. So non genuine parts only blocked the way by the sounds of it?

    Partly, but I suspect mine may be a slightly tighter fit than others.... The biggest problem was getting it past the IP gear housing.

    Sounds familiar. I almost gave up at that point. Then it was twist, turn, invert, try, turn etc and out she came.
