    Stage 1 4BD1 and LT85

    Just a quick question.

    I have a 4BD1 which I believe came out of a stage 1 (LT95) and want to fit it to an LT85, so have a couple of questions.
    1. Is the clutch pressure plate compatible?
    2. What about the driven/friction plate?
    3. Should I change anything clutch-wise if I'm in the process of turbocharging the engine?

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    1. YES - Pressure plates are the same
    2. NO - input shafts have different spline between LT85 and LT95
    3. YES - you should fit a turbo pressure plate. Isuzu part number is in the Part Numbers thread.

    If using standard spec;
    1. Pressure plate should be the same
    2. Clutch plate is different (different splines on LT85)
    3. ?? You may get different answers to 1 & 2 above if you want to go turbo

    EDIT: isuzurover got in as I was replying - at least we both agree.
