    Lifting and balancing an LT95

Last night I had the fun job of slotting the Lt95 into my County (with the Origin on the radio of course).

Turned out to be a very simple job using an engine crane.

I'm not sure whether it's common knowledge, but around 20 years ago, Mal Storey let us in on a little secret. The balance point of the gearbox is about 20mm forward of one of the bolts on the top panel on the box. This box in this pic is missing a few bits, but it still shows enough.

I didn't take any pics while the box was going in, but in the County, once you get the box under the car, you can lift it up with the engine crane through where the trans tunnel would be and then push it forward into place.

Also good for general loading and unloading.
