Took a really long time to bleed.. about 30min but i stopped after 20 and blew back through the hose to make sure it was clear.
Not really sure what is was.. i didnt find anything obvious that was blocking it. But it works now so thanks everyone for your help. :)
excess sediment/contamination/crud caught up at the tank pick up coupled with a slight leak (air only, one way into the system as your creating a low pressure in the line) at one of the seals.
Try parking it nose downhill with a full tank of fuel. Hopefully the leak will be obvious.
I had an air leak in mine which turned out to be the lift pump inlet banjo. Just enough to make it stutter a bit uphill under high load but no leaks. 20 mins parked nose downhill gave me quite a large puddle on the driveway (ie don't just park it and leave overnight).
