    Aircond Idler Pulleys

    My 2 pulleys on the idler pulley assembly have had the gong.

    Any idea on where to buy 2 replacements. Might even buy 4 for future proofing

    The identification markings are;

    VIV 6204 NLR and;

    TPAV 90T GL VIV

    Do you mean the bearing in the double pulley adjuster underneath the engine or the pulley itself. If it is the bearing you are after I don't have a number other than th LR one (MYH3172) but these are the measurements of it: OD 40mm ID 17mm W 17.5mm. It is double row annular. Any bearing shop should have them. The double groove pulley itself is AYG0403 74mm OD. Apparently you can get a replacement from CBC p/n 05056 supercedes p/n 189703, only minor difference is that the OD is 90mm but that shouldn't matter. I haven't seen this pulley but someone passed the info on to me.

    You going soft Damien

    Brian , that is great , I think

    Mine has 2 seperate pulleys with bearing inserts that slide over the idler arm shaft.

    It is those 2 separate items that I am after. I am guessing it's for redundancy in case 1 pulley goes west and you can run one belt only if need be.

    The complete assembly is in the pics below.

    The front pulley was catching/ seizing and the rear one kept going and has worn out the inner face of both, the outer moreso.

    That pulley is a bit different to the original one on mine which is a 1 piece double pulley. Measure the diameter and see if it is 74 or 90mm. Maybe it is a replacement. I'm sure if you take it to a bearing shop they will be able to match it.

    The CBC Part number for the 2 separate pulleys is 05061.
