Isuzu 6BD1 Diesel Engine | eBay
Thanks Dave.
My current knowledge about injectors is limited to the fact that they go in the top of the engine and squirt diesel when it comes from the pump, and if they don't do it right its bad (as per Mike_IE's recent experience).
I'm assuming that resetting the crack pressures would need to be done at a diesel shop.
Is the next step a full overhaul (and what does that actually consist of)?
Steve
I had the injectors over hauled on my 4bb1 awhile ago. Can`t find the receipt so going by my excellent memory it was less than $100 per injector. I know it was about $380, which included new copper seal washers and a set of banjo bolts for the return fuel line. Was amazed at the knowledge the bloke had. I put the box on the counter. He had a look and said ah 4bb1 injectors . Like to see some one with a new diesel get them at that price.

like all things landroverish....
yes the correct way is in the shop, but theres away around that.
without extra special spannery trickery.
IF you have to change one injector on the engine swap out all 4 for 4 of the 6 that you have (assuming they all came out of a normally running engine) and then if you need to change one out later use one of the 2 left out of the original 6.
Damn u lot! Seen that 6 pot and now thinking LT230 grafted on the back of that box and put the whole lotinto a 101!!! 3.54:1 Salisbury diff upgrade and it'd fly!!! :D
