1994 shouldn't be an issue as its still the ADR30/00 that the 4bd1 County complied with.
It was Bill I'd asked the question of, but it would probably be cheaper/easier if I used one of the other VASS guys in Geelong.

I'm sure dougal will have the answers for you, he can't be far away.
But back to the other subject, I am very interested in any info on this Steve as I have to go through this with mine being a 94 model. I presume you are using bill as your engineer Steve?

Isuzu N Series 3 6 4BE1 Rotary Pump Type Engine 7361 | eBay
Thanks Lokka. I'd seen that one.
I'm not convinced these engine sellers get the year range correct all the time, or are somtimes using info from overseas that might not have been the case here - eg "suits '87 to '96 models" when they may not have ever been fitted in a '96 in Aus.
Head definitely looks cast iron when I have a good look now.
4BD1T's seem to go for $5-7K at truck engine places, but can be had for a lot less than that privately, so I'm guessing that would put a decent 4BE1 down around the $1500-3K range privately.

This is a 1998/99 Isuzu NKR sold in NZ with the 4BE1. If that same model was sold in Au then you're good?

The 4BE is shorter stroke but bigger bore. It shares the bore with the 4BG series.
