    110 NA Exhaust

So I'm thinking of replacing the exhaust on my 110

Right now it has the muffler directly under the passenger side of the cab causing the passengers feet to get a bit warm.

I have been advised against using tape and my exhaust guy reckons he can make a heat shield where it runs past the firewall then tuck a high flow muffler up in behind the rear wheel well

Any thoughts on this as to what size piping I should use, I wasn't planning on turboing it any time soon(maybe long term) as I'd be putting money towards a locker first

    Cheers

If you want some reading to do, try these:

I hear varying comments on exhaust wrap. I'm going to put some on my 110. I concede it may not last forever, get dirty etc, but it's also not hugely costly and maybe just the heat blocker you need.

Why? the only disadvantage I can see is the potential for rust, which is not really a big deal, and mild steel exhausts are cheap.

If your current exhaust is still intact, I would just wrap it and save your money for a turbo sooner rather than later (which will need a new exhaust).

Everyone I know who has turbo'd a 4BD1 wishes they had done it years earlier...

I was reading about it recently and found 2 main type of materials with some variations, so do a few google searches before purchasing.

    Fiberglass
    Titanium

I found titanium wasn't much more expensive if buying online. I took info from here:

    Yes!

My install only cost me ~$1500 and 1/3 of that was the cost of the exhaust!!!

Any one know of a turbo manifold for sale? Thats what I'm saving for . My muffler on the perentie resembles a soot corridor made of wet weetbix.

Bring on the turbo I say!

I have a T25/28 turbo manifold for a lot less. I also have a turbo manifold with a split outlet which suits a mitsubishi turbo i think. Send me a PM if interested.
