Usually a slipping clutch is noticed when you change into a high gear to early and then try and accelerate hard.
My (NA) clutch lasted about 100k km, but only 30k of that was after fitting the turbo. It started slipping when we were halfway through a tassie trip and had gotten stuck in a water bog a couple of days earlier. Managed to nurse it through the rest of the trip, up to sydney and all the way back to Perth.
Well the she'll be right attitude wins as I've run out of time and to be honest I'm a bit over prepping this thing. The clutch isn't slipping in 4th up hill no matter how hard I try so I'll see how it goes on the first crossing across The Simpson to see if I do the the return crossing through the Madigan. How hard can a few thousand sand dunes be on a clutch anyway [tonguewink]
Simple dont use it often just leave it in second and crusie it may take a bit longer but you will get to see a hell of a lot more :D
The clutch pedal makes it slip. That's how it works. It's when it slips and you're off the pedal that you worry.
