    Fuel Economy

Ok I haven't seen a thread on here about what fuel economy people are getting out of their Isuzus.
The best I have gotten so far is 72l for 700km.
    I'm averaging around the 11l/100km

My experience is always pretty close to11l/100km. Can do a bit better, about 10, if I keep the speed below about 80 and add 10psi to the tyres, or worse if I drive above 110. But other than that, seems almost independent of conditions or load, even a box trailer,, although I have not done enough sand driving to get any figures for that.

    I agree with John.
I had an Isuzu 110 from new and recorded every drop of fuel used over 111,000kms, returning an average consumption of 10.4 l/100kms and as John said, very little variation irrespective of load or conditions.

I should add that my figures are based on about 450,000km of complete fuel records.

    My turbo'd 110 averages 12.6, with a range of 11.4 -13.8

Don't have a roof rack, and run 255/85 km/2s. I've tweaked my injector pump, I guess that is why others get much better economy.

I keep a log of all fuel on my phone, not just a top of the head calculation. Speedo is accurate.

around 11 for everyday use and highway, gets up there towing big loads though, saw 18 towing into big headwinds....650,000km old injectors and pistons etc will no doubt not be helping. recently replaced injectors and economy and smoothness/ smoking is way better. still blowing by a lot though

    fuel economy

I have opened up the fuel pump, 6 'flats' on the fuel screw at side of pump and 3 1/2 turns opening the rack. Worst is 6.8km/l towing a disco 1 at 110kmh with headwind , average 8.6km/l. Checked speedo with 3 different gps.

My gauge is not working so carry a jerry everywhere. I deliberately ran it empty. I got 450km out of a 60 + lt tank. Which works out to be about 13.5 lt per 100km all urban driving.

Maybe I need to wind the fuel back a touch.
