    Help!

Hi guys. I think this is the best place to ask. I just got given what I think is a stage one diesel tray back. It's all in pieces, but I think it's all there.

So I had a few questions. Is there somewhere I can buy a manual for these? And the motor? Can I swap out the tray for a ute back? Can I put air con in? With the motor standard, can they sit on 100km/hr? If not, should I think about modding it?

As you can see, I don't have a clue, but I have long had the desire to do up an old landy, and since this fell in my lap, seams stupid not to take it.

Thanks for any help you can give

The Isuzu Landy CD from the shop on here has some engine manuals. From memory the overhaul manual and the parts manual so that would be a good start.

The motors go very nicely turbo'd - I've got one in my County

With the engine in good condition should stay on 100 except on steep hills, at least unloaded.

See "Shop" in the header for the CDs. You need the Series 3 plus Isuzu ones.

My Isuzu 110 didn't hold 100 on hills until I fitted a turbo. You won't regret fitting one, I promise.

You should be able to swap out the tray for a tub without too much hassle.

There are heaps of universal AirCon kits around, but you may have to hunt around for / make up a compressor bracket.

They are a great car to learn on. I hardly knew one end of a spanner from the other when I got mine (now I just know enough to get me into trouble)

Have read through the turbo thread on here but prepare for brain meltdown!
I'll quote a summary that Dougal told me on my thread,

    In a nutshell.
Garrett GT2259, MHI TD04HL-19T or Holset HE221 are your best options. The Borg Warner EFR6258 is the bling option.

Something to note about the 6258- it is a great turbo but screams like a cat that has been trodden on.

There are plenty about. You may have to buy a Series 3 to break down for parts.
