I should have taken some pics of the custom manifolds that KLR Automotive have made up for their Perentie turbo conversions.

Maybe I can the next time I go there.

The KLR manifold situates the turbo towards the rear, and therefore it enables more space across the top of the rocker cover for the pipe to clear the bonnet on a 110.

I guess if the later puma style bonnet was fitted this may not be so much of an issue, but the older type bonnet is strong enough to have additional potential uses (spare tyre, tools etc)

I suspect KLR have done this solely to work with the orientation of their chosen turbo (it's not clockable with a cast WG bracket).

I asked Brad about it this morning. It also allows a choice of turbos and simplifies pipe and hose routing.

No reason. I often reply to threads I have no direct interest in if I can provide information.

But first the thread has to catch my attention. Many don't.

This one did because I saw a manifold being fabricated out of cast steel sections when I was there a couple of weeks ago.

    Thanks for the photos!
The one on the right could be just what I'm looking for!
If you're interested in parting with it I'd certainly be interested.
