Isuzu blowing white smoke under power

Hi guys and girls I have a Isuzu 4bd1 that will blow white smoke when you step on it now I'm lead to believe that it's unburnt diesel corsed by a leaky injector, bad pump or block air flow. Anything else that might cause it any help is grateful
    Thanks Tom

Maybe not. White smoke is as far as I have been taught and from personal experience is water. Grey smoke is unburnt fuel. Black smoke is over fueling. You should get grey smoke on initial take of. So you are most likely looking at a head gasket. A simple motor so a straight forward job. Did a head gasket on my 4bb1 not long after I got the ute . The 4bb1 is the same motor as far as the head goes. Did the gasket in a afternoon. I also got replacement injectors for my ute. Till they bedded in they caused considerable over fueling and black smoke under acceleration.

Check fuel filters and delivery. Late injection causes white smoke.

Check your timing. White smoke(or grey, more towards white than black), is unburnt fuel, but it is unburnt usually due to retarded timing. It is actually partially burnt fuel. It can also come from a cold engine on start up until the combustion chamber warms up a bit.
