Nah, just more graphs I don't follow:D
A turboed 4BD1 with turbo mated to a LT95 is a pretty good match as the torque at low revs improves drivability. I'm a bit lazy I think as I prefer 4 gear changes rather than 5 or 6. The 300tdi is probably less noisy on the HW than a Isuzu and is a good motor. My 4BD1 really needs an intercooler IMO to improve HW speed hill climbs and overtaking. At low revs it's brilliant so beach & bush driving is a breeze, particularly with a front Trutrack. I remember once coming off the beach at straddie there was a Pajero stuck on the track just where the sand started getting a bit soft, with a line of cars waiting for the track to be clear. I effortlessly drove out of the wheel tracks on the softer sand and around the pajero. The wife in the pajero passenger seat gave me the 'what the' look, it was priceless. In reality I think the pajero hadn't reduced tire pressure or properly engaged 4wd. The point is power torque & traction at low revs make life easy and the 110 look good.
Vern, it's just Dougal under another user name screwing with your mind...:)
Useful graphs though! Couldn't do one for the 4bd1t mated to the Isuzu MSA5?
It would be great having more Dougals around, but I can assure you that I'm not one of them :bangin:
Sure - it's easy switching new ratios in. I've assumed an MSA-5G; the ghost is an LT-95.

The extremely low first gear broke the graph  I assume that the curve exists, but is off the chart (it should be a solid blue line). It's hard to imagine that you'd ever need low-range!

Thanks dougal#2 😆, I have the msa box in mine, handy little comparison you have there.
Thanks for the graph. If I understand correctly the MSA 2nd gear is close to the LT-95 1st gear gradient capability?
Not sure why at least the first gear does not start at zero ie zero gradient/zero speed, then rise, as it does, to max speed and gradient. Do you specify the start point?
Does engaging first then firing on the starter motor to get rolling (failed clutch slave) count?
Gee...Ive been waiting for KLR to get back with the modified LT85 bellhousings....but that MSA conversion does look the business....have to re think..and re finance!
Hellon, yes, I've spoken to KLR, they sell the gear driven power steering pump you can attach to the engine - something for later.
Seen my equivalent of 'war and peace" - "worn and in pieces"?
