    fuel bleeder screw

I cleaned the sedimenter and changed fuel filter on my isuzu county yesterday- I had a bit of a brain fade when bleeding the system -pumped the hand primer and instead of unscrewing the bleeder valve on side of injection pump i unscrewed the other 10mm bolt(with philips head) about 1" to the left and down - couldn't work out why i wasn't getting fuel coming out after numerous pumps-don't know what i was thinking but finally twigged and got it running. Out of interest what is that other 10mm bolt for and hopefully undoing it wasn't a problem?

That one just holds the cover plate onto the pump body.
