G'day Ben, Your engine is just about run in at those K's, so I wouldn't worry about getting it checked out if it is running fine now. The N/A motor will handle a turbo with ease, they are built that robust, but make sure you fit EGT and boost gauges at the same time so you can keep an eye on boost and head temperatures. Mike Vine at Capalaba is another bloke who has done quite a few of these over the years. After fitment it is a good idea to have it dynoed to get the fuel right and see what temps/boost are. The difference is astounding, like going from a 4cyl to a V8. Well worth it - you can overtake with ease even towing a trailer
Cheers......Brian
