I've got a cnvverted Sanden A/C compressor on mine. There are instructions online somewhere on how to block off the normal lube hole in the head and convert to greae lube which is what I've done.

Like Flagg, I'm interested in details if anyone has both a working aircon and the air compressor.

I had a $40 Mitsubishi Magna compressor fitted to my old V8 Stage 1 wagon. I just fabricated up a bracket myself.
From memory it filled a 6 litre Primus gas bottle with a 150PSI blow off Valve ( scared the crap out of bystanders when it did do this) I never serviced it, thinking for $40 I'll just exchange it when it dies. I did a lot of hard 4wd trips in those days & it got to the stage where I ended up pumping up 3 or 4 other vehicles tyres in about 10 minutes. Two concerns I had was it seemed to draw in moisture in those misty wet Gembrook winter days, so maybe next one would incorporate a water separator, although it never got to the point where there was water in the tubes. The other was the heat transfer to the air line, this was fixed by having a 150mm pipe between the compressor & hose which dissipated the heat. It was still going strong when I sold the vehicle. It must have pumped up at least 200 tyres.
