Perentie 6x6 in USA

I am learning.... I thought all the Land a Rovers build in Australia are Perenties, obviously not, only the military ones are. Do I have to change my name now :)?

My car has the LT95, 4 speed just like the military's one.

It is a 1987, and according to the information I found on line, should belong to the last ones. Would ve very interested in the history and especially what the original body was.

The civilian 6x6s were sold with either a flat tray or cab/chassis, and a variety of other bodies fitted by third parties.

Where did you get that image? What is it from? A Landrover brochure?
I find the bull bar rather interesting. Similar to an early Perentie.

Both tray and bullbar are the same as the trials 6x6, so strictly speaking Land Rover parts. The image isn't from a brochure, it was from an article in the June 1985 Overlander magazine.

but its not, its a conversion. its a 130 Dual cab modded to fit with the stock 6x6 tray shortened and custom folded plates for the intermediate mud guards. the roof is also custom,

If I remember correctly it was done by the same mob that did the bushranger conversion kits for the disco/rangie of the same era. the concept was also pressed into service in the perentie range by the military, from memory initially for air defence units hauling a radar and its crew.
