Pick my County up on Friday

    Hi Gang,

I was offered a County with the 3.9 Isuzu engine in it, went and had a look yesterday and within an hour had been to the bank and paid for it!
The really nice fella I bought it off has owned her for the last 26 years and actually cried when I handed him the cash!
This weekend will be a full on Landy one, will be fitting the engine into my Son's 2a and the cleaning and polishing the County, always do this when I get a new car, I'll post some pictures when done.

Been reading up on Turbo's, I'll see how I go, Mike Vine Turbo is a few minutes away so might have a chat with him. Been reading a few threads on here as well.

Anyone after an immaculate Disco 2 TD5 auto, I've advertised it on here

Have a look at the KLR Automotive web site regarding turbo's.
They do a kit for the 4BD1 which I have fitted to my ex ADF Perentie and highly recommend.

Nearer the time would it be possible to hook up, I wouldn't mind a drive in your's to see the difference for myself.

Spoke to Mike Vine today and he is going to send me some information out, he did say that this engine was one of the best to fit a turbo. Rough figure of between $5,500 -$6,000 drive in drive out, this is including the injectors reconditioning.

How much is the KLR system? Had a look at the website last night.

He had some dyno charts. His design is unique, and contrary to most, as the turbo is on the driver side. The exhaust is probably a little cooler, and lag is probably less as turbo is close to intake. I used an Isuzu turbo manifold so turbo is on exhaust side.

That includes a clever exhaust setup.

What do you think a kit would cost or how much would you be able to buy the parts for, just started reading so still trying to get my head round everything, I'd appreciate some pointers if possible.

It cost me about $4k in parts. That included turbo, turbo manifold, plazmaman water to air intercooler ($2k alone), egt gauge, boost gauge, intercooler plumbing, turbo plumbing etc..all brand new parts.
    Made the dump pipe myself.
