X2. I see that you are near me. Try Archie Robertson, Factory 4, 15 Edelmaier Street, Bayswater. He seemed quite laid back when I was talking to him about my proposed Series on RRC chassis project.
Try them all if need be.

Welllllll at the risk of upsetting the oilers..... if you’re NOT towing more than say 50% of the then, depending on your budget, install an LS1 & 4 speed auto or an L98/L76 and 6 speed auto. Compared to the diesels It’ll be much quieter, better cruising on the highway, way faster, use similar amount of fuel and any idiot mechanic that works on commodores can fix it.
It’s a good and relatively easy conversion using kits from the likes of Marks Adaptors or Rover Works in the States.
And ps, the Rangie will maintain the rumble and beat it deserves.
My L76 Rangie gets 13L/100km. Can’t see you doing much better than 10 or 11 out of an Isuzu and diesel is usually more expensive (although this seems to have changed recently???).
Sure a Rover tdi 300 conversion would be cheaper and easier than an LS but I doubt an Isuzu would be any cheaper. Either way you’re up for the purchase price of the driveline (Isuzu probably more than an LS1), bespoke engine mounts, gearbox or trans case adaptors, linkages, cooling, wiring, Aircon etc etc etc.
Trust me the money is in the time making all the little bits work.
Significantly deeper than the turbo diesel Navara I had the displeasure of owning for 3 years.
