Jason from Autoflyte in Thomastown Vic did my TC. No small ask........ Chev flex plate to Ford C9 input splines with a Ritters bellhousing. A big mofo TC.

He measured the bellhousing, etc with a steel ruler and it was perfect on instal to less than 1mm.

The C9 was rebuilt to handle 700 hp (way more than my tired 350 can even dream about) for the grand sum of $850.

It could also be an option behind an Isuzu.

Years ago on outer limits s guy put a 4bd1 in to an IH scout with 727, supposedly went very well.

Hi, I know very little about TC. But a couple of years ago I was at the Finke Desert Race & I was told that a lot of the buggies were running TC in place of the clutch, as it made it a lot easier on the gear box. Paul.

How would you change gears?

Obviously will need to get the flywheel redrilled to suit a 12" clutch, and need to make sure the pressure plate will fit in the LT95 bellhousing...

Perhaps a Clutchflyte. A Torqueflyte with a custom input shaft to hook to a manual clutch. Last saw one about 30 years ago behind a big horsepower Chev 383. You have to try very hard to break one of those Chrysler trans. Setup was as a powershift trans manually shifted.

Ok, Rang the builder of the race cars to find out how they work. They run a sequential gear box with some electronics to cut the motor for a split second as they change gears, so they do not have to back off. Same as the road race bikes. So not suitable for your use. He said go auto. Paul.

I looked for alternatives for my lt85 recently and after ordering and attwmpting to install a kit in the right boxes with the right skus (but the wrong actual parts in the boxes) and afyer the advice of another member here, I went with a KLR kit and got mine back on the road. For future use, I'll be interested in what you find but am very happy now with what they provided for me this go round.

Yeah unfortunately I am putting out more power then the KLR kit so there clutch may not be suitable for me.

Other people with KLR turbos and clutches seem happy though.

I've got the flywheel/clutch/pressure plate in the work car, and I'll be sending it to a shop for them to test and advise the best way to go.
