    Idler gear bush

    Gents,

According to the parts schedule the idler gear and bush share a part number....has anyone found a part number or source for the bush alone?

Mine is worn and I can press it back into service...time is running short and I can review it later, but ideally I'd like to fit a new one without splashing out for an entire gear unit.

    TIA,

    Jason

You reckon? Looks a lot like a cam bearing to me.

I'm open to options, but Isuzu/LR/Defence must have replaced them at some time. Seems crazy buying a whole new idler gear just to replace what looks like a simple soft cam bearing.

I have the guys at Patterson-Cheney on the case, but it has been a few hours so I fear the worst.

    Cheers,

    Jason
