    Thanks Mate
Ive already got the battery isolator as you described and jump start post (soon to be a anderson Plug) on the passenger side seat box. Its about the only bit of good wiring that was in the county.
Nice dump pipe. Ive purchased a truck sump and plan on running my dump pipe similar to yours running 3 inch the whole way, Hopefully it comes up looking half as good as yours!
Are you running a catch can or pro vent setup using the cranks breather?
Also how does the HX30 compare to your old setup? Happy with the upgrade?
    cheers

thanks for the kind words, but I think my dump pipe is one of those "don't look too closely" things
Seriously though, I'd definitely recommend going smaller diameter at least for the initial bends then open up to 3" once you turn under the starter. Gives you the option of running a heat shield to protect the alternator/starter etc and will make the fabrication much easier. I'd be very surprised if it had any negative impact on performance.

I'm running a provent (a 200 model IIRC). Been there since i did the Isuzu conversion back in around 2010. It sits in the front LH corner of the engine bay - you can see the 1" hoses running to/from in the previous photo. Definitely a good thing, very minimal oil residue in the inlet hoses after ~80K kms.
If you hunt down my original conversion thread there should be more details and photos.

If you get stuck with a dump pipe to turbo flange let me know as I might be able to help you out.

Only done about 5kms so far on a couple of short test drives, but definitely a big improvement over the previous setup.
Haven't touched the fueling since the old turbo. The HX30W spools up solidly to 20psi straight out of the box (old turbo struggled to reach 15psi).
I haven't messed with wastegate settings etc, just clocked the housings and fitted a slightly longer wastegate actuator hose as it didn't reach any more. Pretty sure EGT's in general have reduced.
I'll have a better feel for it in a couple of weeks after we get back from a Cup Weekend trip to Robe. Towing the van over, and will be doing a bit of sand work so it will get a workout, but so far I think its definitely been worth it.

FYI my exhaust gaskets were the same as Steve’s. I also installed them with “top” topside only to have to take it apart and put “top” downside.

It still ran ok but probably had a restricted exhaust.
