I find the HX30 on my 4BD1T needs the revs up a bit to get going, I think the turbo is a bit too big. I've heard of great success from the HE221W... so that's what I would be fitting if I had the choice right now.
The advantage of the HX30 is the T3 flange bolts straight onto the factory turbo manifold, easy! but I'll need a T2 adapter for the HE221W.
I'm speculating the KLR kit (GT22?) will still spool faster than the the HE221W, but the HE should go further before it tops out.
