Thanks for recovering the photo. Looks a bit like dodgybloke's in the first post in this thread. Is the 6x6 a Perentie or something else?
What did the mechanism come from originally? What was the issue with putting it in the 'correct way round'?

Thought Tins might appreciate the bent connecting rod. Pinched from Verns comment to dodgybloke's thread. Vern indicates in preference he'll use Sheldon's system.

Evidently a prototype Perentie 6x6 as it had Borg Warner diffs with factory diff locks.
Looked like this when I bought it.

Regarding the linkage, that was just the way it worked out when I laid the cables out etc. no big deal.
It is standard NPR linkage that came with the box.
I sold it cheaply during covid to a bloke that knew nothing about Land Rovers at all. He liked the noise the airhorn made [bighmmm]
I heard he broke something and is or was trying to sell it.
Here is what it looked like.

Some measurements of the essential part of the shift mechanism. You may be able to adapt this into other arrangements. Seems to give a larger view if your click on the image rather than hover and wait for the view that is somewhat smaller.
