So there are three turbos that came on the 4BD1T and bolt up to three different manifolds.
An IHI-RHB6, wastegated, basically a japanese T3 with 60mm wheels both ends. Top mounted.
A wastegated garrett, possibly a T25. Top mounted.
A non-wastegated garrett, which has a T25 compressor and bolts to the T3 flange on about a 45deg angle. Same turbo and manifold as the 4BD2.
I've got the IHI and non wastegated garrett in my collection. Has anyone got the wastegated garrett or have any specs on it?

Hey Dougal, welcome back, Landy on the road yet??........
Not quite, but getting close.
After screwing me around for 3 months, the place that was making my new gearbox-LT230 shaft screwed it up.
A little more internal machining on that, a new engine mount and it all goes back in.
Then I can start working on project silliness.
Bush65 came out with some figures for fuel delivery from the stock pump. With a few assumptions it looks like 200hp will be all you'll get by turning the screw. But that should give 550-600Nm if all goes well and the engine holds the boost.![]()
Sounds promising, hey, bit off topic, but I saw a post on a boost controller, do you reckon it might work with the IHI if I adjust the fuel up at the same time?......
Nah, it's perfectly on topic.
I tried boost controllers and hated them. I now cut the wastegate rod and install a threaded section. That lets me wind the boost from nothing to the max the turbo can sustain without having anything hissing air under the bonnet.
On my IHI I could push 19psi max with standard fuelling. It went best at 15psi, but my aneroid (fuel pump boost compensator) was rooted at the time. Below about 12psi the EGT's were higher than I liked.
Yeah, ok, it might be worth me looking at that option later on, once I get an EGT gauge fitted......the less non standard adjustable bits (ie:boost controller) the better I guess.....I'm hoping the intercooler will keep exhaust temps down.
Any thoughts on Dieselgas, as per Aussie 4WD Monthly, October issue, looks like a good option, if there's room for a descent sized gastank......
Yeah, run the other bloody way.
Basically the lpg detonates, giving you a lot of power but making life hell for your engine and pistons.
If you're rallying, circuit racing or such then go for it. But if you want a reliable vehicle then I'd never go there.
Here's another discussion on the topic on eng-tips, note the guy who reports more iron and aluminium in the oil after using lpg fumigation.
