G'day from a newbie
i am enjoying my return to landy-land with my new series 3 stage 1 ute.
I am trying to work out what the gearing is in high- any tips?
can i fit a tacho?
i find that on the highway when i change from 3rd to 4th at 60kph or so (which feels right) that it it a bit sluggish to pull in top until 70kph or so. Am i changing up too soon? what are the revs in 3rd at 60?70? what's the max revs?
ps have 235/80/r16

welcome.
If your tyres are 235/80 or anything with a smaller diameter than 235/85 or 7.5R16s then your speedo may be reading higher speed than actual speed. So you may be doing closer to 50km/h.
I'm not sure of the revs or final drive on the stage 1. However, 50km/h is the min speed for a change from 3rd to 4th in my 4speed. A 50km/h change does feel sluggish until the revs build up a bit.
