I would say so. I took the old one off (NA) and just bolted the IHI on. Both gaskets looked the same.

    Think its 8944663610 mentioned here:

There's a couple of different gaskets, a single one from paper type material, and I think a dual layer rubber one. Not cheap and I think in future I'll just use silicon like a 300tdi.

If you're handy with a grinder and welder (TIG or gas weld does the nicest job) you can just cut the wing off and weld it back up like I did with mine. Photos in my conversion thread somewhere.

    Thanks thats a good idea.

Do you have a p/n or dimensions of the exhaust studs? If I can get any off without snapping them (asif) ill be able to measure them... But it would be nice to just order them and know that they will be correct.

Just ordering some new cooling system parts at ULR...

5878142200 - Water pump rebuild kit (updated number from the start of this thread).
    8943768551 - Water pump

And can anyone tell me if the army Isuzu parts are the same as a civi? Eg. Top & bottom radiator hoses? (If yes, I have more part numbers to post.)

You might find this useful if you're rebuilding your water pump: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...p-rebuild.html

I'm not sure if the backing plate comes as part of the pump assy, but there's a good chance its pretty corroded. Only about $20 from Isuzu when I did mine a couple of years ago.
