Purpose dependant?, is it from a truck? a landy?, is it for a conversion?, is it a replacement for a current 4BD1? are you hoping to sell the existing 4BD1 to recoup $$? etc, etc![]()
Got a quote for a 4BD1T. $7000 Only 60-70000km on it..., not a chinese copy. There isn't many of these engines around anymore which makes bargin hunting difficult. What do you forum sages out there think...should I tell him he's dreaming?

I have seen a few 4BD1s sell for sub $2k recently. The $5k difference will buy you one hell of a turbo setup!!!
Sounds a bit steep. I purchased a good 89 model 4BD1T 120" for not much more than that.
Good luck in finding one any way.

I'm getting the feeling you all think the price might be a bit steepI'm leaning towards getting my 4BD1 reconditioned and then get the turbo kit fitted. At least then I'll know the history. Thanks for the advice over the phone LOVEMYRANGIE.
