    Temperature sensor

I put in the new temperature sensor, same part number as the previous one (PRC4430).

It works, but is looking a little hot on the gauge. The needle runs up through the white, and through the black and to just before the red bit starts.

    And sits there.

Now I don't know if I've picked up the wrong sensor, or it is something else.

    Suggestions please.

When my guage started playing up, I swapped it for a VDO guage and sensor. Worth the $$$ - AND it has degree readings instead of just bars.

Check that the gauge itself is properly earthed. If it is like mine it is earthed via a set of tags under one of the gauge mounting nuts, and this was loose.
(actually my problem was with the fuel gauge, but same applies)
