    Alternator parts

    Hi all,
I need some new brushes for the alternator. It's a Nikko brand, that's all it says. Who supplies parts for these in Aus, and is there any way to identify it further.

Hi Pete, if you can get a sample out of the brush holder, an auto elec should have a generic set that will do the trick.
Channel auto electrics are open on Monday, and I have the RR booked in there for an A/C regas on Tuesday morning. They are next to animal tuckerbox in K'ton, 6229 4495.

Picked up the brushes for $8 and a thought I had better get a multimeter as well. Fitted brushes and whacked alternator back in car. First use of multimeter showed alternator not charging. Traced it back to the 12/24 volt switch where a plug had come loose. :mad
    You live and learn.

Hi Pete, But I bet you are enjoying the Isuzu more now than if you didn't fit new brushes to the alternator

Can't wait to see it in action actually
