Incorrect Speedo Reading
Prior to our Isuzu conversion our 88 RRC had a fluctuating speedo, after doing the engine swap we still had a fluctuating speedo, I have change over the speedo cable, the right angle gear on the back of the speedo and the speedo itself, now the speedo doesn't fluctuate but gives a higher reading than it should, when doing approx 80Kph the speedo shows 120kph.
Is there something I should have done as we changed over from the ZF auto to the LT95 4 speed manual, the cable and right angle I swapped came from an 88 RRC torqueflite auto, the speedo came from a diesel Rangie.

I didn't think there was any step up/down in the right angle drive.
Perhaps an instrument fitter re-calibrated the speedo for the diesel rangie.
There are different (number of teeth/starts) worms at the t/case end for changing speedo reading with different size tyres as used on different model landies.
Or you can get ratio boxes that fit in line with the cable.

I had a talk with TR Spares today, he said I need to remove the Speedometer drive unit in the gearbox, find what colour it is and how many teeth the drive unit has, he can then supply the correct speedometer drive unit.
