Indeed, and it would probably flow much better too. I had an exhaust place bend one up for the IIA - cost $65ish. I will be be making a stainless mandrel bent one for the 110.

This is my snorkel made up by a mate just over ten years ago now.

A stainless plate takes over from the top plastic grille and connects up to the hose from the air-cleaner. It's a bit difficult to see in the photo.

It's a tight fit for the hose between the brake master cyl and rad overflow tank, but this is where the original air-intake is as well. I like rijidij's set up (and if I had to do it again I would go the same) but it's also a tight fit under the guard if you have a factory Isuzu County with the engine stop motor mounted on the firewall.

I used bits of 200tdi air inlet, bits of a 300tdi air inlet, a safari 200tdi snorkel (cost me a disco door) and a 300tdi safari clone from uk ($270 delivered at the time). I bored out the water drain hole in the donnalson aircleaner (it already has a flange) and connected them both snorkels to the aircleaner. The TDI pipework already have their own water drains. I now have twin snorkels, and i felt a difference in performance when i hooked them up.

Three inch aluminium joined with silicon tubing for security in the engine bay. Plenty of airflow.
