    Turbo

Ok, i am getting close, BUT

I have seen a number of difrent oil pickups done, from the vacum oil supply, from the othere side filter block or lastly taped out of the block.

what are the advantages and disadvantages of each ??

vac oil supply is quick and easy and on the right side. but its a sort of limited supply so you need to put a restriction in on the vac pump side (it only needs a trickle)

from the oil pump side means you get oil faster. (but you have a longer line to worry about and if you go over the rocker its a pita to do a tappet job)

cant think of a benifit of tapping the block

ID go the vac pump oil feed.

Yes got that, already taped and plugged at the moment, so that’s the return line taken care of.

The oil feed I have a longer banjo bolt and banjo with line for the oil feed from the Vacuum pump. But with the comments above I am thinking I should weld the end of the bolt and redrill a smaller hole to restrict the oil feed to the vacuum pump.????

I was told not to use the feed to the vac pump, something about if there was a problem with the pump it could starve the turbo, thats why I have a separate feed.

This is where the oil feed is on a turbo motor, at the back of the oil cooler and at the top of the pipe that goes down to the oil filter. A smaller pipe runs around the back of the head to the turbo.
