did anyone check out the different cams for each year??
having driven a few isuzus now and there seem to be a marked difference in smoothness. IE after 85 they are quite smooth
both original landys
I bought lewy's county from darwin and it's an 85, it run's smoother than others I have seen, most shack the crap out off everything and you hope the riverts with hold thats at idle any way.![]()
ok idle is all about the same. i am talking about smoothness though the rev range YT110's county revs like my 300tdi so that posses the question why?
different cams?
timing?
valve clearances?
flywheel?
what else could it be??
there have been a few posts on the above topics but nothing conclusive.
OK,
I have heard of cams being different, has any one looked at the fuel pump timing, this in conjuction with a different cam could smooth things out. what about the harmonic balancer any differance.
Balancing the crank and conrods made a massive difference to mine.
