    Clutch shudder when cold

What would be causing my clutch to shudder significantly when the engine is cold but be fine when warmed up???

Its either been contaminated at one point, has just about used up all the meat on the friction plate or has a sticking throw out.

    hope for the latter.

    I had the opposite.
Fine when cold and much worse whem warm.

    New clutch as well.

Had to put new one in again as previous mech put all new kit through but some grease made its way onto clutch plate and created a hot spot on fly-wheel.

Out it came, new clutch and machined fly-wheel. Perfect now, apart from the mechanic forgetting to do up the 4 lock nuts on handbrake assembly to drive shaft and almost vibrating car to bits and dropping out at high(high for a tdi) speed.

What a horror story! Thats why I like to do things myself...I always seem to have to take it back whenever I pay someone else to do it these days!
