    No Clutch!!!

Lost the clutch on the Isuzu 110 on the way to work this morning

(It's one I recently bought and haven't really had a chance to check it out properly yet)

Managed to nurse it through to work.

On arrival checked the clutch master cylinder. No fluid in it.

Topped it up and got some minimal pedal.

Any further ideas on a quick fix to get more pedal to get back home.

add fluid + pump like crazy. Its going to need a quick bleed to sort it properly.

its also going to happen again and you will more than likely need to rebuild the slave cylinder in the near future.

Repeat until some pedal is felt?

Yeah , looks like a master or slave rebuild

    Thanks Dave

    All good , kind of.

Lots of pedal now after filling and pumping

Clutch takes up a long way off the floor now

I will need to get it checked out when I am going to use the car regularly

    Thanks Guys

Take the drain plug out of the flywheel housing and see what comes out. Probably brake fluid, confirmed by smell - this confirms it is the slave cylinder. Not a big job, but some aspects a bit fiddly!

Very interested in this as I find the V8 slave cyl seems to come up a bit short. Got any details?? I'm going to take pics & do a thread on this.
    Thanks, David

I recently had mine replaced, it cost $95.00 for the part and as it looked fiddly to fit I booked it in to a garage to be done.

The chap said ......" Easy job mate, one hours labour $85.00 " So I let them carry on Two hours later and there was all sorts of swearing coming from under the County. The guy was really struggling to get the new one connected, after three hours and three people to bleed the clutch, the one hour job was complete

When I went round to pay, I was quite surprised that the invoice was as per quote .........$85.00
